As soon as I got to the fitness centre and saw Donna there, I felt safe. I told her, in a slightly sarcastic tone, about the incident that just happened. We laughed it off, and she said "You come every day." Something along those lines anyway. The quickest thing that came to mind was, "It makes me feel good." not "I want to lose weight." I heard myself say this, and as simple as it is a statement, I saw the truth in it.
I couldn't be more grateful to go to Wemindji's fitness centre on a regular basis because most of the people that go are sort of unfit, and overweight and don't come too frequently. I'm often alone in there for up to half my work out. I can control the music in the place. Compare that to gyms back home...I feel awkward and like I don't belong there, I'm the most unfit one there, the weight rack is the domain of the bulky guys that live around it, and there it is a slight buzz of music in the backround. Two totally different work out environments. I'm going to launch myself from one to the other. Good Life (with bro) here I come!
